What was the first rock concert you went to and....?

What was the first rock concert you attended and would you pay money to see the same band today?

    I'll start.....

My first show was Motley Crue and Y &T in 1985 at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh....I'm embarassed that I used to like them and I would never spend money earned today on (expletive) like that.....

1983 Rush Signals tour, Pan Am Center, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Had no idea who they were, my very hip best friend took me. We were...14?? My ears rang for 3 days afterwards.

    edit: Apparently, Feb 26, 1983 exactly.Setlist

Joan Jett. Let's see, it was somewhere around 9th or 10th grade so that would have been 1981.

Saw Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie in Memphis TN. at the Pyramid. Great show. Ozzie's voice was great! The audience however was INSANE! Although I'm glad I went I'll never do that again. I'm about 5'11" and 250 lbs and it was all I could do to stand up.

The Rossington Collins Band w/ The Henry Paul Band in 1981

              $7.50 a ticket.

              I would definitely go again.

Government Issue back in '87 I think. I would definitely see them again.

October 2nd, 1986 I saw Journey for the Raised on Radio Tour. I didn't know any of the songs from the new album, but they played a bunch of classics. Stellar performance, though I got the feeling Perry was starting to degrade just a little bit. To this day I don't like the RoR album, but they remain an overall favorite classic rock band just behind Styx, Triumph and Kansas.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I saw Metallica with The Cult in 1989.

I would still like to see The Cult, but I've grown tired of Metallica.

KISS for the Dynasty tour, Madison Square Garden, 1979. It was AWESOME (even though the band was barely still together by that point)
I went with my older sister and was a little overwhelmed but the stage show was amazing. I could feel the flames from my seat!
