I totally agree bro and saying you have no sympathy for a 28 year old that just died is a little sad, whether he did drugs or not (which were only sleeping pills by the way) which could've easily been accidental

..., You know they were saying on the News that he stated in an Interview that the Role of the Joker was the greatest, as well as hardest he had ever done. He said that playing the twisted psycho path got into his head a bit.

Everyone will want to see the movie now bacuse of this. I figured it would be a terrible movie but now at least it will make some money too.
So everyone will see DarkKnight because its got a dead guy in it??? Great logic there.

Wow, this is really sad. He had so much potential. I liked the movies I saw him in, and was really looking forward to seeing where his career would go after Dark Knight. This might sound wrong, but I'm glad that the movie is basically in pre-production so they don't have to add someone else partway through, or completely re-film the Joker scenes.
I also didn't realize that Ledger was also in "I'm Not There," as one of the aspects of Bob Dylan's life.

I've liked his work ever since the short lived series Roar 10 years ago. This is just so shocking, I can't even tell you. Such a tragic loss. I'm really sad for his little girl who'll never know her daddy.

                RIP, Heath.

Sad. Likely a tale of a broken heart and and wounded soul. I hate suicide, because of the toll it leaves on the people left behind (like his 2 year old daughter who will never really know him). I only hope he has found whatever peace it is that eluded him in life.

Quite sad. He was far too young.

I find this line of thinking a disturbing trend around here (I've seen this idea expressed more than a few times in different threads). I had a doctor tell me last year when I was in the hospital that 90 percent of the patients he sees in the hospital ARE THERE DUE TO UNWISE LIFESTYLE CHOICES. This means drugs, alcohol, smoking, poor diet, lack of exercise etc etc. I wonder if those who have no sympathy for drug addicts feel the same way about those who die of lung cancer due to smoking or die of heart disease due to a steady diet of McDonalds. Let's face it, many of us will die due to unhealthy choices we make.

And as far as suicide is concerned, how can you NOT feel sympathy for someone who commits suicide? One has to get to a VERY dark place to consider this sort of act. It's very very sad and unfortunate.

It's very sad. He was a real talent, and now he leaves behind a child who will never know him.

That's so true man,I know I'm one of the few who thinks like this also. But you just can't help but to feel sorry for these people. Now if you tell me a rapist or a murderer I'd say the hell with him.But these people didn't hurt anyone else but themselves, yeah it was stupid but everyone makes mistakes

Weighing in on the suicide thing. Personally, I think its pity I feel for suicide and substance abuse fatalities more than sympathy. I pity where they must have been to have done this. I pity where my faith says they are most likely going. But I sympathize with the familys VERY deeply. Either way, its a sad waste of a human life, that will wreck countless other lives for years to come. Nothing to make light of in my mind.

                              But that's just me.
