Windows 7 Vs Photoshop Vs HP Scanners

Sorry, I'm at wit's end here, exhausted google and hoping to find another poor soul such as myself.

Last year I upgraded to Windows 7 and wish I hadn't. A laundry list of my issues

My HP 4780 no longer has a scanner driver, I've installed the program 10 times but no twain, nothing. It's a printer.

Windows explorer can't preview psd files, that's progress. No solution from the geniuses at microsoft either.

I also can't seem to find a twain driver for CS5.

ANybody got any work arounds, it seems like I'm going backwards and i miss my rattly old system.

depending on what version (home, pro or ultimate) of win7 you have, you can run the windows xp mode (which is more so like Microsoft's virtual pc) and you should then be able to install and properly use your equipment
