From what I remember, they were supposed to win fairly easily against San Diego too. A blowout is what I remember being predicted by many NE fans.

      Giants over Patriots.

I agree, especially now that they are saying that Brady might have some sort of injury to his leg

Not really interested in it anymore but I'll be pulling for the Giants. BTW Favre is still one of the best QBs in the game. Like him or not give the man his due.

Rumor is Tom Brady is in a walking cast and has a limp. So thatas a possible negative for the Pats.

I think the Giants have Momentum on thier side. They beat Indianapolis and Green Bay, to get to the Superbowl.

                  My Pick is the Giants

After the fiasco that happened in Green Bay I don't see how either team won. It was simply a matter of not wanting to lose as much as the other team. The Packers were 1 for 10 on 3rd down conversions and still had an opportunity to win it in regulation and a chance to win it in OT. They only held the ball for 22 minutes. That's 35% of the game and they were still in it. I admit Pats/Packers would have been great and a matchup of two QB's that will be regarded two of the best ever when everything is said and done. Favre gave that game away. The Giants handed it back to him twice and then he gave it right back to them. The Pats will not do that. Even with Brady having the worst day of the season they stopped SD from getting into the endzone every time. Brady will not throw three picks in AZ. Belichek is 17-2 when facing a QB for the second time since 2001. Brady would not be walking around NY with Giselle if he had a serious injury to his foot. In fact, NY thinking he has an injury that would hamper his mobility would probably force them to blitz more often right out of the gate and that's the defense the Pats excelled against all season, and not the what the Giants usually do. They usually rush with a straight 4 man line and hold the pass coverage in the flat so don't be surprised if this is just Billy boy getting into Coughlin's head and giving him more to think about. I'll never say a team could never win, because the Pat's put two rings on their fingers as an underdog but it's hard to see how they lose this game. Give NY credit, I didn't think they would beat Dallas and I really didn't think they would beat Green Bay but they did, so I guess time will tell. I really didn't think this would be the Manning that was in the big game either.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

                        I am really torn.

I don't have anything against the Patriots and congrats to them on an undefeated season. They are an awesome team. I do hate these bandwagon Pats fans and I'm not implying that anyone here is a bandwagon Pats fan. But I see all of these teenagers walking around with Pats gear on and I think come on. You just like them because they have had the best team in the NFL over the last decade.

After the Skins got bumped, I was really routing for the Packers and Chargers.

Being a Skins fan it is difficult for me to rout for the Giants. I still hate the Cowboys with a vengeance followed by the Giants and then the Eagles but I guess that's the way things go when you are playing the same teams year in and year out twice in a season.

With that said, I think I'm going to be pulling for the Giants. I give them major props for coming out of the Wild Card and beating Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Green Bay all at their home fields. It's possible that the Giants can beat New England...they definitely have the weapons to do it, it's just a matter of executing.

In the end, I do think New England will still win it but I will be pulling for the Giants although my heart won't be broken if the New England wins.

The Patriots will complete their perfect season with a win in Superbowl XLII.

The Patriots were the best team in the NFL this season. Hands Down, no question.

The Giants were the best team in the playoffs. Hands down, no question.

Like every other year, and on any given Sunday, its the team that walks out with the W.

All that being said, people act as if the last game of the season between these two teams didn't even happen.

The Patriots have never come closer to losing this season than on December 28th. It should be a good one. I'll let my Big Blue Wrecking Crew do their talking on the field though.

(PS - My in-laws are Giants Season Ticket Holders, and they found out today that they did NOT win the lottery for Superbowl Tickets. I was holding out a smidgen of hope that I might be able to make a 30 mile drive to see my team playing in the big game. Oh well.)

Sorry you missed out on tix, Paul. Scalping should be insane for this one...

I think that last game against the Pats should the Giants what kind of team they were and helped propel them on their run. But the Pats were at the end of a very tough and stressful run trying to go 16-0. I think with 2 weeks to rest and prepare the Pats will handle the Giants pretty well in the warm Arizona sun.

Eli vs Brady? Coughlin vs Belichik? All due respect, but no...
