    More Vintage GI Joe Questions

I'm too much of a perfectionist for 60s to 70s GI Joe I think.

Anyway, I was wondering if the numbers on body parts always match up. For instance, if you have a hand marked "L 12" should the other be "R 13"? Or was it all mixed and matched in the factory?

    Hmmmm....

Wasn't that an identifier for the mold the parts were pulled out of; so's you could tell which molds were wearing out?

The numbers never match. I have a figure that I know has never been part swapped and the numbers do not match. Some parts don't even have numbers.

The only thing that really matters is the L and R. As stated above, the numbers very rarely seem to match up numerically on any that I've ran across. The early figures might not have the numbers, or L or R or any marking at all.

I got a '67-'69 Joe (has the patent #) and I think it has the baby feet. That is not correct right?

The "baby" feet only came on the first issue Joes (Pat pending) in the US, but have shown up on Action Man figures also. Some early models also showed up with brass rivet joints instead of aluminum.
