this is a bad move! the whole idea to push it back for a 3D conversion is garbage! Paramount doesn't want to compete with the other movie studios and the other bigger movies coming out.

This EXACTLY why. This where movies go to die. Disney did a similar thing with John Carter. It was not promoted and put out in trailers like this, but as the studio became less and less confident about the movie, it got pushed into the Jan-Mar area.
wow ..., I hate 3-D Myself , and don't watch em.
I wanted to see this myself. The Rock looked Awesome.
Not alot of money in the box office in March ...., I think The Avengers Scared them.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
Regardless of them saying they're doing it for a conversion, it's NEVER a good sign to push back a movie. Ask anyone in who works within or studies the film industry. When a film gets bumped ahead of schedule then that's a good sign of faith and usually the box office responds. Films that get pushed back...well, the list is long but it didn't help, say, Cutthroat Island back in 1995.
Well, I saw the toys today, and they look like crap, covered in crap sauce with a side of crap. From the sculpts to the horrible oversized weapons to the cardbacks.
Took the words right out of my mouth. What they're really hoping for is that this will be the big March movie like Hunger Games, 300, Alice In Wonderland, Watchmen... What it really shows is that this cannot compete with Batman, Spiderman, Avengers or pretty much anything else coming out this summer and they have no confidence in it at all.
"Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."
This looked miles better than the first film, and I was actually looking forward to it. It's one thing for a movie in early stages of production like Man of Steel to get pushed back (Dec 2012 to June 2013), but one that's in the can, with product on shelves does indeed send a bad sign.
Is 3D REALLY going over that well, or has theaters just invested too much in equipment for it to just quietly die out?
The financial failure of Battleship scared them. Battleship is a completely different animal than Gijoe. They overspent and demanded too much return from a film like Battleship. This may be the last nail in the coffin for the toyline also since a lot of retail stores may have a product with no movie support on their shelves. This is after they were burned with ROC.
