Sammy is laughing his *** off right now...and rightfully so. There's an online interview where Sammy basically calls Eddie and Dave nuts and deserving of each other. If I were Sammy I would let Eddie rot in hell for what he did to a good thing. Since Sammy left or was booted, depending on which stories you believe, VH is basically DONE. How'd VH3 do for them...poor Gary Cherone didn't deserve Eddie's crap. Neither did Michael Anthony. Eddie and his bro are a bunch of control freak nutcases...and Wolfie's gonna fall right in their footsteps. It's a shame cause not only will the divorce mess up the kid...but his dad's ego will probably make him think that his crap don't stink. Eddie deserves everything he gets...end of story."When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

They're like any other "classic" band
They should keep their mouths shut and just do the oldies circuit like most other 80's bands that are still around
They haven't been relevant since Hagar left.
They should feel lucky they aint playing county fairsComment

Me, too--I was really mulling over catching them in St. Louis, but they way Ed's treated Michael Anthony over the years kind of cheeses me off. I read a reprint of an interview from back in like '82 and Ed was trash talking Anthony way back then even, essentially saying he was just collecting a check and not contributing. A lot of VH's classic sound was due to Anthony being a team player like a good bassist should be and having very recognizable backing vocals, and Ed's ego is bigger than I ever imagined if he truly believes that Mike contributed zilch. Now there's nothing to decide, I guess.Comment

Not that it matters much at this point, but wonder how many fans will simply throw in the towel and ignore any inkling of a future tour given the drama that they have caused over decades with the big loser being the fan. I really like Van Halen, but it they aren't my favorite band. They are by far my sister-in-law's favorite band. I know I'd be a bit stewed if I bought tickets to an upcoming concert that has been cancelled. Maybe it is voice issues, but there has been enough drama there over the years that draws enough suspicion."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
