    Chess player Bobby Fischer dead at 64

    wow just saw this on ESPN,perhaps the greatest chess player ever.Bobby Fisher has died of kidney failure,I know he had become some what of a nut,but you still feel bad.RIP man

      I just dug through some crap in the basement and found this... Life interview before he went nuts...



      After reading the article, I'm left with a profound sense of "that sucks". He had sooo much promise. Insanity can be a real PITA. :(

          Wow. This guy was my idol growing up. I was a very serious chess player in elementary school and into my freshman year of high school. I was in the chess club and placed second in the city finals.

          Girls and other distractions kind of took me away from it in high school. I discovered singing in a band gets you more interest from the ladies than being a chess master.

          But, I digress. The first chess book I ever had was called "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess". I followed his career for years. Was saddened to hear of his later slip into what can only be considered some form of madness, (genius and insanity as they say). I am even more saddened to hear of his passing.

          Truly a legend in his chosen area of expertise.

          RIP Bobby.

            very sad . its toobad he was a great chess player. a smart guy but insanity ruined his life i think anyways. hopefully he can get rest in peace. mike

              A sad Day. I use to be quite a Chess Fanatic...and I've read one of Bobby Fischer's Book's.
