    Unwanted day off...

Okay, so had to pull some extended hours yesterday at the J-O-B. That kind of thing never bothers me, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do right? Anyway, to make up for the extra time the bossman says take the day off. and while I guess I should be grateful it actually kind of sucks because there's really not much I'd like to do with this unscheduled / unprepared for day.

What say you... would you rather have a planned or unexpected day off?

Planned! But make the best of it. You could hit some yard sales or flea markets that you don't normally have time to do.

I've had three weeks of unexpected "days off" and I spend them looking for a new gig! Since you've just got an unexpected day off, I'd take the op to enjoy it and do something fun you wouldn't ordinarily do on a weekday...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

That's one of the crappy things about living in a small town, flea markets are very limited and yard sales are regulated to Saturday mornings. Thankfully though we do have the Marketplace on here. I may not get any sun but I'm seeing and selling some cool stuff.

Poor Guy, boss wants you to have a day off because you worked too hard the day before. I'd go occupy for the day with the whiners that hate coporate america. I kidd I kidd.

Scheduled days off are better, but my god man... it's a day off. Go, be fruitful.

I'd love an unexpected day off. I'd be either jumping on the motorcycle or hitting the poker room, depending on the weather.

ANY day off work is a good thing.

As a self-confessed workaholic I understand that, for real. Take a moment or two to think of the one thing you always want more time to do and never have the time, then do that. Overall, just enjoy the time: take a nap, go shopping, play on the computer, take a walk, go fishing, go out to eat at a nice restaurant, whatever.

There are times during school holidays that we've been open (we're almost ALWAYS open ), that there aren't enough kids and my boss will send me home. I love it! I always have enough personal time stashed, so money isn't an issue. Sometimes I'll just watch TV or do a little shopping, or play w/ my toys!
