From my ipad, I had tried a site where you basically remote in to a host and use office products...worked pretty well, and it was free.

Currently, it is only available on iPad and Android..but coming soon for mac.

Thanks for the link, noelani, that does look like a pretty cool site. Will be nice when then get the MAC end of it up and working...

Switched from Mac to PC kicking and screaming a long time ago due to compatibility issues at my workplace.

I've found over the years that Toshiba, Asus, and Dell have worked best. I'm using an HP right now (because it's provided to me) - I think HP's are middle of the road in user friendliness and reliability.

Stay away from Acer and Gateway laptops. Compaqs are not that great either.

I actually HAD a Gateway laptop for a couple of years about five years ago. Dreadful, heavy thing and slow as slow gets! Definitely going to stay FAR away from a repeat of that. Thinking seriously about a DELL at BB, though....

Apple was the underdog for many years. The marketplace seemed stacked against Apple. Since the release of the candy-colored iMacs of 1998 the whole thing shifted in their direction. With Apple's now using intel chips, the iPod & iPad being released they no longer worry about becoming the "betamax" of computers.

My daily driver is a Dell Inspiron.

My fun toy used to be my iBook running Ubuntu. (It was a bear to get it to run, but once it did... beauty)... screen's gone black, and I don't feel like fixing it yet, if ever.

I use my Dell tower as my machine graphics machine (that baby's got everything and anything I want [photoshop, Maya, Hash Animation Master, Flash MX, Fireworks-Dreamweaver, illustrator, 3DStudio Max, etc], and it double boots to Ubuntu as well for fun.)

So when it comes to computers I lean towards PC... but I am a heavy Apple user in terms of MP3 players, and phones. Nothing beats an iPod or iPhone for ease of use.
