I cleaned out TONS of taped stuff, but I kept things that had bumpers, commercials, etc. I wish now I hadn't pitched all of my BTAS tapes, since WB cut out the old Fox bumpers on DVD.

I still have bunches of ST-TNG and DS9, (1987 & on). I cleared out of all my PBS Doctor Who tapes last year, (1988 and on). I do still have an old PBS special tho titled Star Wars to Jedi. That could be as far back as `84 or `85.

I think mine would be a bootleg video tape of "Return of the Jedi" that my parents gave me back in 1983 for Christmas. Where the hell my dad managed to find it six months after Jedi was released in theatres, I have no idea! It looked like crap, but all my friends were jealous. I have it stuck in a box somewhere, I haven't looked at it in years though.

I'm pretty sure I have some episodes of Northern Exposure on VHS stashed somewhere, though I should chuck them since I have them on DVD now. I used to tape it off CBS every Monday night.

I still have the original 30 minute JVC starter tape that came with out first VCR. I'm going to say we bought it around '82, though it could've been as late as '84. Pretty sure I taped videos (remember them) on it, but I don't know what.

'87, Disney's Robin Hood taped off of a Sunday Night Walt Disney showing. I have a bunch of stuff that I need to digitize. I love seeing all of the old commercials again.
                    It's all good!

Hmmm....the oldest tape is a wrestling compilation tape that I made from around 1985...from the same time period are Honeymooners and Twilight Zone episodes/marathons from WPIX and I Love Lucy marathons from WNEW.

When I got divorced, I got all the video tapes including the ones my ex recorded and I know there's a bunch from the 80s in there, but I don't know which one is the oldest.

Have a couple of VHS tapes containing the original TV broadcast of Star Wars (with the alternate mono sound mix), and the extended TV version of Superman III.

I used to have about 15 hours of Warner Bros. cartoons that I'd taped on 'long play', on 3 VHS tapes. I'm kicking myself that I taped over them eventually.
I believe I have 'Phase IV' on a tape someplace that I taped during the mid 80's sometime.
