Your favorite 80's Cold War movies

The other thread got me thinking about Red Oktober ...and how much I like 80's Cold War movies.

Off the top of my head my favories are Red Oktober, Red Dawn and even War Games

Any other good ones I forgot ?

Should Rocky 4 be counted ?

I remember when VCR's were new, my dad would go to the video store and rent everything and anything. There was a movie called Born American which was really cool back in the day. I don't even know if it was ever released in the theaters or if it ever saw a DVD release. I found it years ago on VHS and rewatched it. It is incredibly 80's and if you're into that sort of thing totally worth tracking down and checking out. Red Dawn is by far my favorite. (I can't imagine the remake will be as good but I'll see it) It's also the film that taught me exactly what a wolverine was.

If I remember my history correctly, Rocky 4 actually ended the Cold War so yes, it should totally be counted.

Don't forget Russkies, the Cold War version of the Goonies, and Red Heat with Arnold and the other Belushi.

I agree, FANTASTIC flick, but it was released in 1995.

Spies Like Us. Remember when Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd were funny? And the Russian babes were hot.
