Why would a guy sell in such a way? He must be desperate for space and/or cash. This is the kind of sale I'd be excited for an dread. I could only image the chaos it would be. I've seen near fist fights at sales.

Looks like there is plenty to go around though.

Yupp. That sale is gonna get ugly. If the guy is priced right, he will do well though.

This is a one man toy show. For some reason thinking about going to a yard sale like this gives me anxiety. You either score big time, or lose out big time.

I would imagine this guy might be opening himself up for far more than he bargained for! I would imagine he's going to be quite busy for that Thursday, Friday and Saturday!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Yeah, it wouldnt be much fun for 50+ people to show up looking to fill holes in there collections only for 1 or 2 guys to buy it all... that would make me sad.

I've stayed up all night to go to estate sales crack of dawn. Many times, I've walked into the wrong room in the house, while what I wanted was being grabbed by somebody else in another. So all the sleep deprivation, waiting in the cold and worry was for nothing except an upset and let down.

I've had my fair share of wins though. Made some good scores recently.

But I REALLY hate the garage/estate sale thing. It's too much of a hassle and usually afterwards, I have an even greater disgust for humanity.

I also do not trust any of it. Most of the estate sales near me are run by professional companies and it always seems as if the people who the organizers know on a first name basis (regulars who go to all their sales), seem to get the good stuff. As if they know exactly where to run to in the house. Overhearing them talk on line, they always seem to have some inside information, like who the homeowners are/were.

Last one I went to, I saw two near fist fights and I myself was ready to knock a guy out for pulling some football move on me as we were walking in the basement.

I know who the local toy dealers are and it's not like online here. Everyone secretly hates and wants to beat each other out.

He is a collector so I doubt the bargains will be that great!

80s toys are everywhere! so what I saw in the pictures is nothing that can't be found again.

It will be chaotic those three days. He better watch out for people stealing

Look at all those POTF figures.

If I had what this guy had, I'd just open a store.

After listing on this stuff on craigslist and people knowing where he lives, I'd worry someone would try to break in and steal while they are gone.

I don't know if I would have done it this way if I were this guy.

Based on how stuff is just thrown in tubs and and most stuff looks highly played with, I would say more so a hoarder than a collector. Still looks like it would be fun to dig through all that stuff.

its a huge amount of stuff but the only thing I hate about these sales is that everything is thrashed even the stuff in boxes are not that great of condition ,I guess bottom line In dont like loose items only Mint in Mint Box or carded when it comes to vintage toys 70's and 80's but thats just me
