While I totally get what Roberto is saying about Mariano going out on top, I don't think he ever had a down year, and I'd certainly like to see him pitch again and go out on his own terms and maybe even get that inning of center field play, too.

Been a Cubs fan since I was born and a Red Sox fan since 1976 when my neighbor was drafted by them. I've always hated the Yankees, but there's no way I could ever say anything bad about Rivera. Class act. The most dominant relief pitcher of all time. What he's been able to do in his career is nothing short of amazing. I hope he can make it back to pitch again so that he can retire on his own terms. He deserves it.
