My new "message" music video

Hey friends, fellow mego heads and people who hate my guts,

Just wanted to let you know I made a professional video that is being played on local cable access all week. I am really excited to be getting some recognition for my music making.
This video is special because it focuses on drug and alcohol abuse. It has a special meaning to one of my friends that died last year in February. It is a musical collaboration my friend Bobbie.

I am not sure if this is the place to share it but oh well. If you don't like it, then don't watch it.

Thanks! All though that isn't my song. That song was written by Bobbie *****. I came into the studio and laid down some bongos later on when Bobbie said he wanted a Jamaican/reggae feel to it. I also dubbed in backing vocals but that song was all written and arranged by him.
The video for that was put together by me professionally. I just took home videos he gave me and created it into a video for his song. I can't take much credit for Good Time Girl but thanks anyway.

The local cable access never played Good Time Girl for obvious reasons. They are playing the Begin The End song and since I wrote that one, that kicks ***!

The first part of the song is like a poetry, speech thing. Almost like a Jim Morrison thing. It opens the song up and talks about alcoholism as a disease. But once the music gets going I do sing.
It's heavy metal. Not a lot of people like it. I respect your opinion though. I just wanted to get my message across and the local cable access saw my point.

You are right though. When I do stuff that is more "Beatle-like" with a familiar groove. I get more of a response. I love metal though and seem to "accidentally" find myself fronting metal bands. I was working with Bobbie *****. He is the local metal guitar god of Wisconsin. So naturally, the song was made into a metal song. I love working with Bobbie you should check out his myspace. His guitar playing is amazing.

Your video is fine. It fits in well with the look and sound for genre of Metal you are going for.

I like Metal and understand how diverse the Metal genre has become. I'm sure a lot of other people here do as well. Maybe some people were just turned off from checking out the video because the tone of your post came off a bit defensive and angry.

I'm not saying you actually were, but that's how it reads.

Not to brag but I just found out my video also made it to the news of the local featured Wisconsin Band's Website.
I am excited to be getting some recognition for a song.
