    Classic TV dinner thread

I swear, TV dinners tasted better when they came in foil and you had to bake them.

    Loved Swanson chicken dinners.

Swanson chicken was BETTER than KFC & Popeye's combined

Also seemed like the portions were better. Now a days, you barely get any food in them.

My mom wasn't too big on TV dinners back in the day. She liked the Banquet Boil-in-bag meals better. It was RARE that I got to eat them. In fact, the only time I can clearly remember eating them was when we were ready to move to CA and all our dishes were packed. I remember begging her for those Libbyland dinners, and the answer always being NO.

TV dinners still taste better if you bake them. The foil helped though.

It'd be like time travel to have one of those today.

Swanson Meatloaf with the sweet tomato sauce, green beans, tots & a brownie . I'd punt a kitten for one of those, today. I also miss Swanson's beans & franks dinner.

Yeah, that's the one. And the fried chicken one looks soo good in the old box. Man, I remember the dot of butter in the middle of the potatoes. I ate a lot of those on Sunday nights while watching Disney on NBC.

^^That's the Swanson Packaging that I will always remember. I loved the chicken drumstick one the best.

I too, also used to ask my mom for the Libbyland ones to no avail. Always wanted to try the Milk Shake thing.
                        It's all good!

Tv dinners were a special event in my house and I loved them. We've bought them for our kids, but they don't seme to care for them at all.

I think it's because like I said they tasted better before.

Meat was meat back then - not 3/4 soy meal added
