Amazed by classic Dark Shadows

I picked up the cheapie "best of" DVD at Wally World for $10 and watched a few episodes last night.

I was totally blown away by Dick Smith's old age makeup on Barnabas. It looked better and more realistic than any other old age makeup I've ever seen. He even did the hands, which a lot of makeup artists skip.

Man, our Wal-mart stinks. I was looking for this a few days back, and zilch. We have tons of direct-to-video SyFy movies though. Yawn.

From around the same era, I always thought the old age makeup on that Star Trek TOS episode "The Deadly Years" was amazingly well-done as well.
