Why are all insurance TV commercial jingles annoying ?
I have been driving for 17 years now. I have changed my insurance once (to Geiko) and then back again (after I discover Geiko is not as good as they claim to be) They're downright terrible actually. That 15 minute call saved me 15% percent the first year and then my rates got raised through the roof the next year and nothing with my license changed on my end (no points/tickets/accidents.) It just went up so screw the lizard, the cavmen, the pig, the Rod Serling impersonator and the other 10 mascots they have trying to shill their product. How often have you changed your insurance? It's crazy how many commercials there are for insurance companies. I find ALL of them to be annoying as hell. The Progressive woman has gots to go. I lower the radio as soon as I hear that cockney lizard accent. I'm not even sure whats happening in the Farmer's commercials. I can't recall a single jingle right now but as I think about it, the commercials themselves sure are annoying on their own.
I remember "jingles" were used all the time for major companies. I bet many of us can still remember a lot of them from our childhood. My guess with the insurance companies is that it is no longer a growth industry so companies are now trying to grow their bottom line by taking customers from each other. I really can't recall any insurance company jingles except for State Farm "Like a good neighbor...State Farm is there" written by Barry Manilow.
