This is going back aways, I bought these in the 70's, Neilson's Jersey Milk Treasures (Canada only?). One chocolate bar with a bunch of different flavours inside. They were all connected together as one bar too. This is the only pic I could find of the packaging, although this one seems to be from the 60's. I paid more than 10 cents for mine!

What about the Mars Bar? I don't know if they still make them but there's certainly none sold around here anymore. Remember the commercials from the 80's where Kilinger from MASH used to advertise for them?
Also not a candy bar but does anyone recall "Almost Home" cookies? They were the best cookies ever. If I think really hard about it, I can still recall the way they tasted just like I can Pepperidge Farm Star Wars Cookies, C3PO's, and Smurf Berries!Last edited by spacecaps; Apr 17, '12, 11:44 PM."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

I just googled it out of curiosity. The actual Mars bar was discontinued in 2002 in the US but relaunched in 2010 and is now marketed towards women and sold exclusively in Wal-Mart. Weird. I'm almost never in a Wal-Mart which would explain why I can't find it.Last edited by spacecaps; Apr 18, '12, 12:19 AM."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

First off, I apologize if this offends anyone, but since you asked, when I was growing up in a little farmtown in Ohio, the local feed store had these little bags of chocolate jellybean type things called Ni**er Toes.
I ate BAGS of those things. They were delicious and I loved 'em, and at six or so, had no idea they were racist. I didn't even know what kind of toes they were supposed to be and I didn't care. They were just candy.
EDIT...my wife didn't believe me...so I found a link. The third one down...

I remember these. I bought them as a kid at 7-11. It did remind me of a chewy brownie like thing that was very heavy for its size.Comment

I don't know about down in the US, but in Canada at least, they tried to rebrand Mars bar as an "energy bar" a few years ago in attempt to cash in on the popularity of Power Bars and Cliff Bars, and energy drinks. Absolute rubbish of course... Like when my gym started running ads for chocolate milk. Yeah, they are great if you're a high performance endurance athlete and looking to mix it up a bit over a reAlly long haul (even if it's not the best fuel... Like an apple or whole wheat bagel) but for casual workout? Definitely not. Why spike your bold sugar level and set yourself up for a crash? Why consume the calories after you've worked so hard to burn it off?

Peanut Butter Twix on the regular cookie, they only have them on the chocolate cookies. Not as good.
Gator Gum as in Gatorade. - but that isn't a candy bar."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment
