    Ani-MeTV Saturday mornings

Yeah, another Me-TV announcement. Every Saturday morning at 5am, Me-TV is showing Mr. Magoo, Gumby, He-Man and She-Ra. I won't be watching this b/c A) it's on too early, B) I don't like He-man and She-Ra, and C) I have my own collection of 70s Saturday morning toons. Me-TV went right from the 60s to the 80s and no 70s toons. BOO!

But I knew some of you would want to know. Carry on.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I like Gumby, but that's it.

Would like it better if they got Trek Animated, Jackson-5, Emergency+4 and all the other Sat morning toons 70's kids know.

I'll never understand the hate for filmations He-man and She-ra but I guess thats because I watched them when I was little.

The hate isn't for those shows content ...

It's just this site is generally 70's kids so they want to see 70's shows.

It would be like 80's kids wouldn't want to see Power Rangers

Good point. As a kid the '70s shows seemed new to me though since I saw alot of them in reruns. Especally scooby doo, captain caveman, and speed buggy (the last one came out when i was born, and is one of my favorite characters)
Actually.....um......I like Power Rangers! (at least the first few versions)

There are a couple of modern toons I watch like Johnny Bravo and Rescue Heroes. I don't really like 80s toons, except for maybe The Hulk, The Muppet Babies, The Chipmunks and The Gary Coleman show. The 70s are my era. I'm just rather disappointed that a great station that covers so many decades of TV would skip the 70s on Saturday morning, THE BEST DECADE OF SATURDAY MORNING TOONAGE!!

                  *runs from the 80s babies*

I think we would all agree that toons from the '60s - '90s is better than what they consider toons now. Its on the verge of being pathetic. (theres a few exceptions like Batman: brave and the bold, of course)

Cartoon I loved when it first aired: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (and this was when i had finally given toys up)

Isnt Fat Albert from the early seventies? That cartoon was being aired way into the early eighties on saturday mornings.

Some more '70s cartoons I really really like: Super 7, Tarzan, The adventures of Batman, and Godzilla.
