Who's seen it, what did you think? How does it compare to the original with Obi Wan, and the original book?

I loved this new version. Very gritty, very real. Gary Oldman is phenomenal, and should have won the Oscar.
At the end, you are convinced that real life spies lead a terrible life and that James Bond is a cardboard character...

Btw, the sets and costumes are pieces of art...

I'll echo the same- I liked this version better than the first (though I've never read the book). It really takes you into what a crappy life most spies must have. The performances are top-notched- not understated, but delivered in a way that's extremely believeable and very, very real. And the costumes and set brilliantly take into the time period. I might have enjoyed that almost as much as the story.

I definitely need to check this out. With a cast like that, it should be a classic. Seriously, every one the have listed on the cover is great.

Anyone a fan of The Sandbaggers? "the special relationship" was kind of at the crux of this film as well.
