Growing up I use to love building models,must have had 60 or 70 that I sold when we got married. I would build them then put them back in their box.Just another thing I regret getting rid of.
i was a member of the AMC model of the month club. Loved 'em all. Wasn't super good at building them but man i loved doing it. I think thats how i eventually got into papercraft.
I used to and recall being a short lived member to one of the model car clubs (Monogram???). I also recall smashing the cars up. I was never good or big at painting them so I used to try and find snap together and already pre-painted (or molded in color) models. Others that were glue and no paint, but I loved the design used to stay with me for a while and eventually got thrown out. Of that one that still remains is a 1960s or 70s model submarine Polaris launching Nuc sub model from Remwall. Been in my garage for over 30 years. God knows how much older the kit was before I bought it, amazingly box and all is still in great shape
Loved sci-fi and monsters though. Some of those are still with me as well
I started on WW2 planes and moved on to hot rods. Had a shelf full of them. Until one day I was out and my dad decided a visiting 5-year-old could entertain himself in my room. Destroyed. All of them. Wheels everywhere.
