I collect early Redskins memorabilia (they started as the Boston Braves in 1932) and actually own two programs from their inaugural year including the first game in their franchise history.
I was familiar with the 1932 Championship game between the Chicago Bears and Portsmouth Spartans and knew the program was rare but didn't realize that rare.
Don't know if it was a set up or not, but also found it surprising to see Corey hand over $2,700 for the program even though he really didn't appear to know much about it and it was in pretty bad condition (was partially burned in a fire). He took it to one of his expert friends afterwards who valued the program at $10,000 and said there were only 2 or 3 in existence.
It was a neat find and if it is as rare as they say; kind of wondering why it isn't worth more than $10,000.
