        I run the secondary video/audio port from the DVR into the DVD recorder and can record it with no problem. That actually used to be an outlet for a "Copy to VCR" function which you could begin a locked off playback of a recording while you watched and recorded something else. With the latest software, that is removed so whenever you record something to a tape or DVD you must just let it play undisturbed and not watch anything else so if I want to record something I usually start it after I used the box for watching at bedtime. I heard that Tivo has a way of taking your recording and making it into a DVD file for burning if you are on the computer network but I don't know that for sure. I use the manual way just fine.
