                      HI guys! Because halfway to 2000 from 1500 is 500. 1500 would be a mid point, therefore another 500 to actually get there. Any estimation of 5 (like in a scale of 1-10) and up is usually considered half since it is closer to the nearest number.

                      Had I been at 1000 posts then halfway to 2000 is 1000, but since I was already at 1500, half at that point is another 500

                          Somehow, I get the feeling that if I figure this math out, I will be a much better poker player as this all sounds very much like what I remember reading in Dan Harrington's poker book - "Harrington on Hold'em - Cash Games" regarding pot odds and calculating them!
