Why point the remote at the TV

I know the cable box and all the other stuff is over on the left but I still point the remotes at the TV instead of to the left. I can't be the only guy who dos this can I??

It's almost as bad as pressing the buttons on the remote harder if the batteries are fading...'cos you know if you press harder it will work.
Also why does it seem such a chore to actually get up and change channel/volume etc when its only a few feet away.....I mean we never had remotes years ago!!!

Nope you're not the only one! And my cable box is sensitive, so sometimes I spend like 10 seconds trying to go to a channel until I turn like 1 degree to my right to point at the cable box. Stupid weak sensors.I'm way too lazy for them.

Hmm, maybe it's because of the amount of channels nowadays? I mean getting up to channel surf like 500 channels may get tiresome. xP

I point the PS3 remote at the TV and the damn thing is Bluetooth. It would still work if I was in the next room pointing it away from the TV. Old habits die hard.
