    Gave my first Ebay neutral

Honestly, I looked at the screen for a couple minutes before I entered it and Ebay asked me "if I was sure" and I paused again.

But I bought a 100 pk of DVD R's and it arrived at the bitter end of the estimated delivery time and was shipped in a padded envelope so the spool was broken and plastic shards scratched a number of the DVD's

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I did contact them but all I got was

"Im really sorry to hear that, i have been sending package like that to many
people and they have never told me that happening. But thanks for telling
me so i can en prove it."

with no offer of maybe a credit or something other of a little compensation. But it may also be that this is in Puerto Rico and they don't know too much English and weren't able to properly formulate anything except an apology.

It's a little of a big deal because I have always been lucky enough never have to give a neutral or negative on a transaction.

I have had a seller say that before as well. Ended up ticking me off more with their flipant answer. They more than deserved a neutral.

And the seller was a liar, reading his feedback, other buyers have had a problem with his lousy packing. As a buyer and a seller i expect my items to be protected. And when i ship i always use a ton of bubble wrap, sometimes even more than what is needed but i have never heard a buyer say they wished i hadn't used so much.

You should not feel guilty at all for leaving that feedback.
In no world ever should that item have been shipped in a padded envelope and not a box, especially internationally.
In fact, those other people who made comments with things arriving damaged should have left nuetrals (at least) too, then mabye you would have been wary.

If you check the feedback, of their 289, most of that is from them being a buyer. Only 35 feedback are as a seller, and they obviously don't know how to do it correctly. It's a shame they weren't willing to do a partial refund, as they should have.
        Sorry that happened to you!

Don't feel bad Mike, if anything they should be happy you didn't neg them (which they deserve)

Neutral? More than fair to that seller. If it was a negative experience it was a negative experience.

I just got a positive from a guy who just bought Dragonball z figures off me today. I don't think he understands how feedback works.

ahahaa! That's what ebay could replace the negative feedback system with.
Send DragonBall or Naruto figures to them instead. Maybe even Yu-Gi-Oh.

                  Lesson learned.

I gave a neutral because at least 85% -90% of the discs were still usuable so the transaction was still useful.

I feel more bad that you actually bought those (now) inferior Sony dvd-rs since Daxon no longer manufactures dvdrs anymore

I don't like getting stuff in padded envelopes. A box is way better for sure. He got off lucky if you ask me.

I just gave my first negative in 10 years. A UK seller called "in-your-interest".
                          Yeah, right.
Been waiting a month for my DVD box set, no response to messages.
Now that I read his feedback (was I asleep that day when I ordered?), I see that one out of four (!) buyers had the same experience...

I've started a PayPal dispute, of course...
