So what did you do for St Paddy's Day?

On my block, there are a dozen pubs, so it's ground zero to shenanigans. It's clear that I wasn't going to get to sleep with the hooting and hollering outside. So I opted to meet some friends in a pub in another part of town that wasn't so post apocalyptic (karaoke aside). first time I've been out for green beer in a while (which is ironic because the wife is Irish... Which lends the question of how she is possibly going to celebrate in Tokyo... She isn't very fond of Roppongi like I am)

any one else get their Irish on tonight?

I wore my green underwear; does that count?
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I'm only half Irish, so I just partied from the waist down.

Went to the CHinese Buffet and then the pound to look at dogs. Probably getting a Wire Haired Terrier.

Very cool thing to do. Share pics of your dog when you do bring one home.

Found an Action Man Roadster, complete with missile launcher and missiles, for $2.00 at a 400 family garage sale at our local High School. (Proceeds benefit the band)

Hit a few of the first of the season garage sales and went to the dog park.

Had Corn Beef and Cabbage than made some Banana Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

A local motorcycle club hosts a huge poker tournament every year on St. Paddy's Day. Some of the proceeds gets donated to the Children's Miracle Network. I entered that this year and WON! I won the 50/50 cash drawing too! All in all, a good day.

I can't say that anyone around here does anything special. From what I read online, St. Patrick's Day is a big deal in other areas, but certainly not around here,...just another day.

I drank about 6 tall Black & Tans, returned home and passed out on couch.

I rode downtown around 1pm to watch the start of the insanity, then quickly retreated to a friend's backyard bar with the rest of the locals as tourists had taken over our town for the day.

Glad I stayed in last night. There was a nasty crash on the main road about a mile from my house. Here's a text from a witness on nbc4i.com:

"I saw the whole accident on sancus and polaris a drunk driver ran a red light going about eighty miles per hour smaked into another car throwing one man from the car all three were unconscious there was a man driving and a women in the passenger seat the woman was on top of the driver the steering wheel was broken completely around her chest i checked all three for a pulse all three had pulses but the womans pulse was very faint. The fire department had to use the jaws of life to get the other two out of the car..."

From 10tv.com: "One person was taken by helicopter to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Another person was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition, and one person was taken to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries."
