Movie posters from Golden Age of Hollywood found in PA attic

    Holy Cow!

"Nearly three dozen movie theater posters from the Golden Age of Hollywood found in a Pennsylvania attic are expected to fetch $250,000 at auction in Texas this month. They were stuck together with wallpaper glue when they were purchased for around $30,000 at a country auction last fall in Berwick, near Wilkes-Barre in northeastern Pennsylvania"

Obviously they had a background and knew they were worth more and they could be separated without damaging them. Nice payday for them. They should reap at least $250,000 after auction fees and the initial $30,000.00 payment.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

There are some rare one sheets in this collection. The DRACULA Style F one sheet is fairly rare and could easily bring $100,000+

        WOW!!!!

Almost 20 years ago I worked in a theater that closed down one of its locations. A few of us signed up to go into the theater and work overnight and clear out all the equipment that was to go to other locations. I found a ton of movie posters up in a loft area that were going to be thrown away going as far back as the 30's and most recently to the late 80's. I pulled them out of the dump and I've still got them all sitting in a box in a closet to this day. I've looked through them twice and never tried to sell them or anything. The only one I've ever done anything with is an American Graffiti one sheet that I framed and gave it to my father years ago which is still hanging in his basement. A few others of note that are in there are the Star Wars 1 Year Old Cake poster, a giant Ghostbusters Bus shelter, a Charlie Chaplin movie, and Voyage To The Bottom of The Sea to name a few. Its been maybe 10 years since I've looked inside the box but there is well over 300 posters in there....

There was a show on HGTV called "If These Walls Could Talk" where a former Movie Theatre Managers house was bought by a person and they found an original Frankenstein Movie Poster in the Walls of the house along with other posters from the 30's and 40's. It seems the original house owner used the posters as insulation in his walls. The Franky poster was in the middle of the stack and was in close to mint condition. I've been trying to find a clip of the show but can't. I think it eventually sold for over $300,000.

Their eyes can't hope to see

            Isn't it a pity".
