I can truly feel your pain, as the same thing happened to me back in 1997. Walked out of my apartment and the car (a 1986 Suburban) was gone. My first thought was, what, did it roll away? Did I park it somewhere different?

They did find it, though, about a week later, abandoned in a really bad part of Dallas! (where we lived at the time) So there is hope...

oh man that SUCKS!!! I hope they find it, and that it was just some bum with good taste in cars who needed a ride, and not someone taking it to a chop shop.

You don't mention it in your post, but the first thing you did was call the police and file a stolen vehicle report, right?

yup that's the 1st thing I did at 5:25 am they didn't show up to almost 7:00 am,and when they did show up is was an officers aide,not even a real cop

Sorry to hear about that man. This is the reason I buy a very undesirable car among car thieves. If they steal the car they are going to have to throw away the mountain of trash in the back.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's bad enough to feel victimized by having a car stolen (I couldn't even imagine) but a car that you personally poured your sweat into to get it into working order again must be absolutely horrible.

Hopefully, it was just a couple of kids who took it for a short joy ride and left it undamaged somewhere nearby.
