LSU hasn't had the crown for 48 hours yet and one of ESPN's topics on SportsCenter is "USC the Team to Beat Next Year!!!"
They cannot stand that LSU is the most dominate team of the decade and the SEC is the best conference. USC and the PAC-10 were supposed to be that team/conference, and ESPN will do anything they can to prove it.

they always do that though,I remember when Miami was unstoppable with Dorsey, they always did the same thing
I would have to give the team of the decade to USC though,LSU is up there. But I think USC has been the best overall in the last 10 years.I would say these schools USC,LSU,MIAMI,OSU and Texas have been the best
If USC wins another title in the next two years, I would say yes, USC is the team of the decade, but right now, LSU has two BCS titles and 4-0 in BCS bowl games since 2000.
USC has had a BCS bowl lose and only one BCS NC. They have been to two more BCS games than LSU, but have been to one less bowl game than LSU since 2000. LSU is 6-2 in bowl games since 2000 and USC is 5-2.
chric congrats on a nice win by your team. its great for them lsu is nuber one right now and thats ll that matters. it was looking good for bc for a little while but maybe next year.
I quit watching during the third quater. I was hoping it would be called on account of flooding (the kind where games are canceled yet no one gets hurt - like a saturday morning cartoon)
Unfortunately I have not been able to find out the final score. I believe OSU came back and won. Any time some tries to tell me the actual result all I hear is static.

You didn't hear? Pete Carroll ran on the field in the 4th quarter with his entire team and claimed since LSU has the letters "U" & "S" in their name and USC has two of the same letters, Petey claimed 2/3 of the national championship.
I wish I was as smart as you. I watched the whole crappy thing, when it was indeed over in the third quarter as soon as that roughing the kicker call. It's been sort of a crappy year to be an Ohio sports fan, many of our teams have made it to the playoffs, only to be denied. Cavs lost in the finals (by that I mean got killed of course) Browns choked and missed the playoffs, Bengals and Reds sucked (nothing new there I suppose) Indians took the eventual World Champions to the brink of elimination only to lose three in a row--and thus the series, and now the Buckeyes. Lets hope 2008 is better.
Cheers to LSU, however Georgia or USC would have killed them if we had a playoff. Of course, OSU wouldn't have made it past the first round in such a playoff either.
