I blame all the bad writing on Vince Russo myself. Dude has always been a tool. He was one of the reasons TNA drove me nuts. 90 minutes of interviews and back stage skits and 30 minutes of actual wrestling action. So glad they fired him. WWE has been getting heavy on the non action lately, i thought they had hired Russo back at first. It was a few weeks ago that the first actual wrestling was 25 minutes into the show.Comment

I saw this too and thought the same thing. Luckily I just watch it for the items and to learn something. It was like that when I got here.Comment

Ever see the one where Rick takes a chance on buying a first edition Ernest Hemingway Old Man & The Sea and at the end of the show George Stephanopoulos just happens to walk in and buy it. In reality if you actually bought that book, it would sit a good while before you were able to move it yet they were able to turn it over for a profit in what seemed like a matter of hours and sell it to a celebrity no less!"Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

I've never thought much of any of those collectible shows where someone is deemed "guru" to know market values on all things. In my experience, you've either been into something long enough to offer a meaningful perspective or your simply reading from a book. Like anything, prices will always fluctuate with demand. So if your not an active participant, your not really offering insight that is helpful.Comment

Oh no, I didn't know it was fake too. I knew the one where they buy the storage units was fake; I can't stand that show or it's "stars."Comment

Auction Hunters on Spike
Storage Wars on A&E
and
Storage Hunters on truTV
At least Auction Hunters on Spike has a disclaimer right there at the start of each and every episode that saysThese are the stories of their most rare and valuable discoveries.Last edited by The Nawd; Mar 4, '12, 1:43 AM.Comment

I also know that on Auction Hunters that they have mentioned numerous times that 80% of the lockers they buy are junk. It's the 20% of good stuff that they show. I believe it was specifically mentioned that valuable items have been known to have been placed inside of the units for Storage Wars which what I think is meant by staged. I have seen the other shows and know they are staged in the sense that they are only showing the good stuff along with the schtick comedy but don't know if the units themselves are being tampered."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
