I remember my mom giving me permission to go see the sword and the scorcerer with my older brother. not sure if that was my first r rated movie or not though. i must hav ebeen around 8 or 9

The memory fades.....it was either Porky's or Doctor Detroit. I still remember the car ride home from Porky's and telling my friend Rob's parents all about the movie we supposedly saw. It might have been a Trek movie, all I know for sure is we completely made up the plot from beginning to end and thought we were the slickest kids who ever walked.

I may have went straight from Superman the Movie to softcore porn. When we got cable/HBO, there was an option on the cable box for Cinemax. WHen tuned in to that, I got some scrambled images but could make out certain things going on.

Outside of that memory, I think the first may have been Stripes or Private Benjamin. I remember my dad covering my eyes from boobies. Little did he know about my scrambled, late-night peeks. Too late, pops.

For me it was "An Officer and a Gentlemen" - I was old enough to see it by myself but wasn't really interested, my father wanted to see it so I went with my father.

Pretty sure it was American Werewolf in London with my grandfather. Decent movie. I also remember seeing Porky's & 48 Hours in the theater.

For me it was Aliens. I was like 7 or 8 at the time. The irony is a few years later I was in Junior High and my friend and I went to go see Alien 3 on opening night. His mother dropped us off at the theater and drove away and when we went to the box office they wouldn't let up in because we were under age.

Deliverance. I was about five and it was at the drive-in. My folks thought it was just some movie about guys camping or something. They kept telling me to turn my head.

What a great post. I honestly can't remember which r rated movie I saw first but can remember like most having hbo and seeing all the r movies hoping to see some skin, and boy did I
We first got hbo in 75, great times. I still have the monthly hbo guides from back in the seventies
