I've turned the spare bedroom in my house into my Awesome Room of Awesomeness™ (!!!!). At first my wife was all like . Then she was like , but now she's all .

Also, she knitted my Dr. Who scarf, so in a way she's kinda encouraging me.

I don't think my kids have opinions (or any thoughts at all) on the "study" (lol). My son is 11 now, and a mad Doctor Who fan, yet I have a Cyberman head on my desk and my son is just kinda "meh" about it.
Even My Henchmen Think I'm Crazy.

My kids dig it. My wife tolerates it.

I don't have a wife but my kid loves the old stuff I buy especially when I let him play with them. A few days ago I had my Mego's out and he was playing with the Batman ones on the living room floor. He's pretty respectful of the stuff so there's no worries there. Actually right now hes playing in the living room with a couple of vintage 12" Star Wars toys I got today in the mail.

Here's a quick story about "significant others" and collecting....
Two years ago I was looking into buying a classic car. I thought it be fun to shop around with my girlfriend whom I had been dating for about 6 months. When I mentioned this to her she asked me in a snarky way if my regular car was paid off. I said no and she replied "Well then you don't need that. Come ask me if I want to look at old cars when you pay it off." I took about a day to think about what she said and then broke up with her. About three weeks later I bought a 1970 Mustang, which I still have.

My girlfriend thinks it's cool i collect toys, she even gets me the odd thing when she sees something i might like.My daughter makes fun of me that i play with dollies

But now i have her looking for Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts for me,when she is out and about,so she is now coming around to the idea i collect toys.

So sorry to hear about your mother! She sounded like a great person.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

My wife is very supportive. When I sell something, she always ask "are you sure?"
Actually, I think she's too good for me.She should beat me up more often...
