It was held at the El Carmen Bar in L.A. Some of the major importers that attended were Clase Azul, Corralejo, Sino, Corrido, Casa Noble and Peligroso; there were more, but after sampling the ones mentioned I was too drunk to continue.
Most offered a Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. There were servers walking around with appetizers to keep people standing.
One of my favorite tequilas was the Casa Noble Añejo. It's aged for 2 years in French white oak barrels; it's the only tequila I've ever tasted that has a deep chocolate undertone to it.
The El Carmen's campy Lucha Libre decor is a must for wrestling fans; great ambiance.

You know it's a cool place when you see Amy Winehouse tending bar and a g-damn cobra in a bottle.
