Sure California doesn't get hurricanes, tornados, etc...but we do get nasty earthquakes, and one day we'll get the mother of all earthquakes, I hope not in the near future though.
You can keep the earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes are fine with me. Now, Toys2Cool may say different. We are also fortunate we do not get forest fires very much, the climate is too damp.
