One of the BEST comedies ever committed to celluloid, IMHO. Now, if you're NOT a fan of Monty Python, or British humour in general, you're probably just going to watch this movie and scratch your head and wonder what all the hubbub is about. Me, I was raised watching Monty Python, Benny Hill and Dave Allen, so I find this movie a scream, even today, twenty years after I first saw it. It is even better in the company of fellow Pythonheads and while quaffing a pint or two of Young's Double Chocolate Stout (or whatever your fave British beer happens to be)....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Mrs. TBolt loves the Flying Circus series and all the movies.

I bet when that happens you wish you had the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

It is definitely one of those things that appeals to a certain sense of humor. I don't consider it slapstick at all (it's kind of in a class by itself) but probably appeals more to those who enjoy that style (more visual humor I guess). My wife likes very subtle humor...nothing over the top or in your face like "Monty Python". My son also thinks it is hilarious so we both saw "Spamalot" years ago...just the two of us.

My brother lent me his DVD of this Saturday and I watched it for the first time in several years. The fight with the Black Knight is still one of my favorite bits in the film.

Seems like Meaning of Life is the most palatable Python movie to non Python fans.

The pirate business firm is really cool, inventive and draws a lot of people in.

The Holy Grail's, "Stay`ere and make sure he doesn't leave the room!", comes to mind whenever I dealt with customers or management in prior jobs.
