Another thing for aging female singers...if you are a dancer, like Madonna is, DO NOT where giant heels and expect to stay on your feet. I was hoping she'd fall on her ***...and she almost did twice.

Most of the halftime shows are never that wonderful, because everything has to be timed and pre-planned to keep everything running along, but I will say lip sync or not, that for me being ten years younger than Madonna, that I would be huffing and puffing just to climb those electric stairs and she's doing cartwheels and performing for a large TV crowd. I think she can be forgiven for performing with a track.

With Half-Time shows usually you get poor choices (Shania Twain, Gloria Estefan TWICE!) bland performances (The Stones, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen) or really bad entertainment (Brittany Spears, U2, Black Eyed Peas) but very rarley do you get a good entertaining show. The one decent and entertaining Half-Time show that sticks out for me was the '93 Michael Jackson performance. All that said, I think tonights show is right up there with that. I actually liked it. The entrance, Super Hero type costume, and her drop through the floor exit were perfect. She put on a good show and made a memorable half-time performance. It was probably the best one in years really. The song choices were solid too with maybe the exception of her new tune. That could have been swapped out for Material Girl or Get Into The Groove. Its not even that the song was bad, I just didn't care for the two rapper chicks in that song. Also the band LMFAO is way more style than substance and Ce-lo? looked like someone glitter-bombed Darth Vader. She could have done the show on her own and it would have been solid. Madonna was actually really good and kinda showed a lot of previous acts how it's supposed to be done.

I caught the half time show by total accident. I liked what I seen so well that I actually watched all of it until it ended. I was mesmerized by all the lighting and special effects as well as some of the cool costumes. I think it was great for a half time show. After all it is a Football game and not expected to be a real concert.
