I have absolutely no interest in football or any other sport for that matter. however, my 10 yr old son likes it so we started a family tradition of getting a bunch of munchies and watching it every year...mostly for the commercials and halftime show

Actually, I do know most of the rules to football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. I'm a teacher, and used to play w/ my after school group on the playground. But that was part of my job. I don't like watching it, or playing when I don't have to. I just find it BORING!!!

No you're not alone, zero interest. I understand the game, played defensive line in College, just don't watch sports on TV.

I was actually invited to a Super Bowl party today where the host offered to pick me up, feed me, get me drunk and drive me home. I'm sitting here talking to you guys instead.

Slow down Columbo, it's plenty popular here. Our milk may come in bags but football isn't strictly a "murcan" thing.

Ha! my wife's parents are at Disney World right now and they said it's the deadest they've ever seen it, only a couple people in line for Toy Story Mania. They must be Canadians too.

Not interested. Nothing against it just not my thing.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

No sir, you are not the only one. This is the first year, in about 20 or so, that I have not had some sort of alternate plans on Super Bowl Sunday. Amusement parks, museums, movies, restaurants, biking, road trips, toy runs, etc. are all really great options on SB Sundays...it's great cuz everything's virtually deserted...post-apocolyptic like. This year just decided to hang at home for a change.

                        Same here.

These guys get paid huge amounts to chase after a little bitty ball all over a field? Risking permanent, debilitating injury, if not paralysis?

Getting endorsement deals, writing books, and all that kind of stuff?

                        Over a BALL?????

                        Feh.

It's the one game I watch a year...I get more concerned over where we're ordering food from than who is playing... And yes I study the commercials

I "LIKE" your attitude, JJ!!! I have similar feelings over the whole "industry" of football (IMHO, it ceased being a "game" a looong time ago); these guys are risking their health and getting paid (in some cases) obscene amounts of money while the people we count on to patrol our streets, run into burning buildings or come and help us when we're sick or injured (paramedics) get paid a fraction, a fraction, of that.

Life seems a little too lopsided in the "game" of pro sports....

I could care less about football or the superbowl. I just came from a friend's superbowl party but the wife and I only went for our friends and the pizza.
