Dave's original Late Night was required VCR taping for me in high school, and I watched pretty faithfully in the 90s, and even into the 00s. The last few years tho I watched less and less, finding his overall show very stale. Dave would probably be the first to agree with me..

Last nite's show (with Stern) was the first one I'd seen in months.. good stuff!

He was funny last night. I stayed awake through most of the Stern interview. In response to something like "how long do you plan on doing this?" Dave came back with "Until it just gets sad." I love his humor.

Watched alot of David Letterman when I was in college (85-89) - not much after that.

I really enjoy Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon now.

Fallon is a bit under-rated. I didn't like his show at first - took me a while to get used to him. But he does some really funny stuff on his show now. I love thank-you notes and twitter hashtags.
