Step away from the crack pipe...you're joking right? The NBAs zenith was between '79 when Magic and Bird came in and around '92 when the Dream Team guys got old.
Saying the Shaq, VC, Kobe, etc eras were/are better is just plain insulting

while those guys were great, the game back then was boring as hell..Guys like AI,Shaq,Kobe,V.Carter,Nash,Wade,LBJ, are way funner to watchLeave a comment:

How lucky were most of us that as kids we got to watch greats like Bird,Magic, Kareem,Dr J and others, and then we got to watch the greatest ever in MJ. Brad to answer you in any other way than MJ would be lying.Leave a comment:

Right on Hector!

Like Dr. J before him, Jordan had so many sweet dunks over his career. I was fortunate that he was a Bull. As a Chicago fan I got to see most all of his games and he remains the greatest in my opinion. Game on the line with one shot left, who would you want taking that shot? My answer of course is Jordan. The dude was pure money!!

For me a dunk has to have something extra to be special. I get tired of all the average dunks on espn's top 10 plays. Now granted i am a hockey guy, i think a great save where a goalie is incredible is better than a 6 foot 10 guy doing what he should be able to do anyway. Dunks don't impress me unless he dunks over a great defender or seems to glide through the air aka jordan style.Leave a comment:

I do have to say that Tom Chambers does gets overlooked a lot in all time best dunkers' list...I...and this is only my humble opinion...think that Chambers' skin color has something to do with it...he gets the shaft...reverse discrimination...the dude is an all time great dunker...and belongs in a best dunker list.Leave a comment:

I had already posted that Chambers dunk.
You blind or something?

But seriously...that's a great dunk...but hardly the best ever...come on now. Tom Chambers was a great dunker...but "grace" is not the first thing that pops into my mind when I think of him.
You are such a homer...

Finally looked at my 'Location' huh?

This is the best dunk in the history of the NBA, hands down. Just pure ability and grace. See how he actually pulled down the rim?

This other Chambers dunk is also better than Griffin's

Terrance Stansbury - Both of these are better than Griffin's

Blake WHO????

I could go on with the likes of Jordan and Gervin and David Thompson but I think you get the point

It looks like Griffin could only dunk because he used his opponent to push down with the other hand. No?Leave a comment:
