The best shoes I have ever worn! KEEN!

Ok, so I am an old man... but at 36 comfortable feet are way more important than being cool... but having said that these are even cool looking shoes.

    http://www.keenfootwear.com/

KEEN! If you want some awesome, comfortable shoes these are unbeatable IMHO. My wife's family has been wearing them for years and always on me to try them. They are on the expensive side, not crazy/but not cheap, but I have to say they are worth every penny! Though I did wait until I got them on sale

Anybody else into these shoes? Or good shoes in general?

I really love my Geox shoes. If you can find them in the right size, they are wonderful. And, always on the lookout for leather boots that are knee-high and also comfortable. One can never have enough.

I need double or triple E so I have a hard time getting shoes. Also flat feet so good shoes are my friend.

That is my problem too. Wide, flat feet. I usually go with New Balance or Asics.

                Q. - What happens when toy collecting geeks get old and run out of stuff to talk about?

                A. - Start a thread about their feet!!!

j/k - in my line of work, shoes are the most important part

I work at a chemical plant and I am always climbing metal stairs, standing for hours on metal grating, climbing pipes, etc. I think more people at my work have knee problems than any other body part. The heavy, leather, steel toe work boots we wear are very expensive (luckily the plant buys them) and need to fit properly.

The best work boot I have ever wore was the slip on leather boot made by Iron Age. This things are like butter (not good if you have weak ankles).

The worst work boot I have ever wore were Doc Martens. I had a pair for a week got rid of them. They weigh a ton and the leather is stiff as iron. I know guys who wear these because the look cool, but they are always complaining of sore feet.

I love the classic Reebok track shoes. Lotsa colors, crazy comfortable. I can order them from a catalog and not even have to break them in!

I'm a boot wearer myself and have given up on shoes and trainers....I take size 12 (uk size) and find it very difficult to find pretty much anything in my size over here without paying untold amounts...luckily my company also supplies boots/shoes and they have to order my size as they have to be specific for railway track work. They are DMs...not the old 12 lace unfortunately and are hard as rock for the first couple of weeks.
Other than those any boots I can find in my size (most retail outlets here only go up to size 11) and are comfortable will do me.

My shoe of choice is Merrell. For year, my wife wore them, but I stayed away because I thought they were too expensive. But she finally convinced me to give them a try, and I've never looked back!

This moc creates your ultimate low-maintenance shoe, featuring a smooth suede leather upper and Merrell air cushion underfoot for extra support.

Merrell's are a strong number 2 for me Joe... I love them too. I got some Merrell hiking shoes this fall and they only lose out to my Keens by a nose. Very comfortable and durable... Dig 'em

With a size 15 in Tennis shoes and sometimes a 16 in dress ( i'm only 5' 11" too) every show is a challenge to find. Plus being in retail management now for 15 years I need comfort. New Balance ( high #'s , cross) with pads are my favorite. Merrells.clarks are also great dress for me when I find my size. Working at Bass Pro now I get a discount...so new shoes more often..
