I got quite a few Megos from ToyShop ads. I still have a stack of them in storage.

I recall being in utter awe at what had to have been the very first custom figure I had ever seen in packaging. It was a vintage Star Wars custom but I cannot remember the character. I actually called asking about it. Not long after that I "tried" to make my first custom that failed horribly.

Anyone remember "New eye Studio"? They used to always have a big spread in Toyshop and sold a lot of vintage Star Wars and Star trek. I bought a carded Klingon and Kirk from those guys.

I really liked toyshop because of all the pics. I wish I would have kept them.

Picked these up over the weekend at a tag sale. They're from '96 and '97 which was right near the end of my subscription era. Super fun to flip through. Was hoping to catch one of my ads but nowhere to be seen...

If I remember this right, I had a subscription to Comic Buyer's Guide. They sent me the first trial issue of Toy Shop free. I was hooked. I subscribed to it as well. Unfortunately, I was too wrapped up in getting all the new Batman stuff out at the time and passed up a lot of great deals. Now I have totes full of crap I don't care about, that's not even worth trying to sell. Oh well.

I would love to thumb through those, memories....

Subscriber since day 1. In my lean college years I would race over to Lichtmans during breaks, thumb through the new issue, then call the dealer from the mall phone.
