    Pacific Northwest winter blast

It blows. I haven't been able to work all week.... I lost my power yesterday .... I just drove for an hour and a half to get a cup of coffee and a pack of smokes.... after I had to dig my truck outta the snow and fallen trees..... and my feet are cold.

I'll be wearing shorts tomorrow and probably cutting the grass.

We got a dusting of snow on Monday, but its mostly just raining here in Portland. South of Salem got some pretty bad flooding.

I guess flooding is next here as soon as the rain kicks in. The icestorm took all the power.... Then theres also talk of a good old Pacfic NW windstorm to top it off.

Wasn't that bad. I walked to work in the snow. Not a big deal. Funny how the cities cripples down when it shouldn't. Of course this is downtown Seattle. I heard further south in Tacoma by you Jason was pretty bad. Longview was the worse.

Mike, the stores were open all week. Met market was open. I wasn't worried about the power since they upgraded our area after the wind storms two years ago.

Paul, my friends up in Northwest heights up by Sylvan got hit with a lot of snow. They posted up pics on Facebook. Snowed in up on the hills. We were there this past weekend and made back to Seattle on Monday running into TWO snow storms along the I-5 corridor. Nightmare! But we made it in record time, amazingly!

I suppose it's not that bad if you got power. Which it wasn't for me.... but then that happened and kicked me in the balls.

Dang bud. I wish we had some snow here. However ice storms always suck. I love when idiots think they can drive on ice. Snow yes, ice forgedaboutit. No matter how bad *** you think your 4 wheel drive is. Hope you get back to work.

I hear ya. The eastside, Kirkland, Bellevue et al. got their power knocked and my boss was freaking out. Luckily they had camping gear, canned food and water to get them through.

You think it might be wise to get a generator? I think I might.

No power loss here in Bellevue but I did have to stay home all week with the kid because Day Care is up on Redmond Ridge and right now we only have one vehicle that will eat up this snow. I let my wife use it all week...she owes me one. Been cooped up inside since Tuesday!
