I finally watched this Bruce Willis movie last night, and I almost screamed when I saw an ape poster. Did anybody see the movie and did you spot the ape?

No I didn't.Which ape movie was it?
But did you like the movie? My heighten mutant sense never lies..........................................This ain't lemonade. -
I couldn't tell but it was a poster--maybe it was from Return to the Planet of the Apes since it was cartoon-y. It was General Ursus or Urko...and it was in the Warlock's command center decorating a post.
I loved the movie but I think that the jet scenes were too outrageous. Other than that, it was a great action film. Maybe I'll be Mai for Halloween! Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.

With all respect, aren't DIE HARD movies where "outrageous" scenarios
are right at home and actually anticipated?
I thought the movie was incredible---and the newly achieved level
of "outrageousness" in the situations and accompanying FX coupled with
my love for Willis'/McClane's classic wit which was in full force in LFODH
were reasons why I thought so

By the way, the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title
was: "Why be so cruel to Kevin Smith?""No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

Kevin Smith as Warlock
I am a pretty big Kevin Smith fan, one of his last podcasts he was talking about Christmas presents he wanted as a kid. His number one wish for Christmas was the Mego Batcave. He also talked about his Mego collection he had as a child. I read that he had some input into how the Warlocks "Command Post" was to be decorated for the movie, so who knows if he picked the POTA poster or not. He is a big comic book fan and a huge action figure collector, seems like a pretty down to earth cat.sigpic Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is Bowling. There are rules.Comment

Kevin Smith pretty much tells all about his involvement in his book "My Boring *** Life", which is a collection of his blogs telling of his day to day activities...I can recommend this to any Smith fan, its a great read.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.

come into play negatively when discussing a movie as unrealistic as DIE HARD
that HINGES on such preposterous FX scenes?
Shouldn't this "jet scene" actually be repeatedly brought up as
a POSITIVE for the movie?
I know it was for me and some of the people I spoke to after seeing the
movie....why here at the MM is it the opposite?"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment
