    Willie Nelson's 1974 4th of July Picnic

    Came across this today. These picnics have always been legendary, but this 1974 movie is a serious time capsule. A scruffy redneck hippy Woodstock. This is what Outlaw Country music was all about. My Dad would have killed to be there.

      That's great, though I don't think I could sit through the whole thing. I'm not much of a country music fan, but Willie Nelson is a national treasure.

          I've become quite a fan of Willie, through my love of all things Johnny Cash. Willie is truly one of the last living greats.
