New Van Halen song... official sample here

Okay. Apparently I'm the Van Halen news desk today... Here WAS a sample off of the first Van Halen single due out this Tuesday. The link is down now...

And here's the story talking about it...

My only question... Where's Eddie's guitar? I figured they would showcase that for a sneak listen.

Sounds like crap. Bring back Sammy. Always was a fan of Van Hagar.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them
    Isn't it a pity".

    - "Isn't It A Pity"

I'll reserve judgment until I hear the whole song, but I miss Mikey's vocals already.

Yeah. I have to say it's not much of a sample. No signature guitar riffs from Eddie and YES... no Michael Anthony filling in back vocals (Which, of course, he won't be). I liked both incarnations (the third doesn't count in my book). But yeah, I kind of prefer the Van Hagar era if I had to choose one. I do hope for Eddie's sake that he puts out a good record though. I don't want him ending his career on a negative note. After all, he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. No matter who is fronting the band, he is an awesome artist in his own right. No one can take that away from him.

I lost all respect for these guys after they kicked Sammy out and then played all those games with the greatests hits package and whether Dave was in or not....and then of course they dumped Dave and went with Gary Sherone. that album went "plywood" as we all know, so they quickly dumped Gary
the VH brothers are a train wreck and it's sad to see they have dragged poor Wolfgang into their mess

Here's the track listing for the new album.

            Track listing:
            1. Tattoo
            2. She’s The Woman
            3. You and Your Blues
            4. China Town
            5. Blood and Fire
            6. Bullethead
            7. As Is
            8. Honeybabysweetiedoll
            9. The Trouble With Never
            10. Outta Space
            11. Stay Frosty
            12. Big River
            13. Beats Workin’

"She's the Woman" is actually a demo they did back in the 70's. I believe Gene Simmons helped make that demo. Here they are pergorming that live the other night.
