The Replica Prop Forum, aka the RPF, has been hacked

I know that some of you Megoheads are also RPF members. You might not have logged on in a while or missed the announcement on Facebook, so I thought I'd spread the word. According to the site's owner, the domain was hijacked and a spoof site is in its place. DO NOT LOG IN AT http://WWW.THERPF.COM! It looks exactly like the original site, but the hackers may have access to passwords, email addresses and messages. The owners were able to move most of the forum to a new location at Movie Props, Costumes and Scale Models | the RPF. Even if you haven't visited in a while, please go to the new site and change your password. If you know anyone else who uses the site, please pass this information along. I have also shared the announcement on Facebook and you can share it from my profile.

Rotten hackers!!! Hopefully they re-established the site using MAC OS software, which is much harder to hack into; the difference between white pine and oak, so to speak...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Fun. Several members have posted on the now-spoofed site in an attempt to warn others, and each time the threads have been shut down/deleted. These people are really trying to keep up appearances that the spoof site is the real deal.

I've heard about using spoof sites to gain a portion of the revenue from banner ads, or to extort money from the owners, but I don't know how that works.

I can't imagine a jury in the world that would convict someone for beating the Christ outta an internet hacker.
As a former professional gaming "hacker" these people need to be stabbed in the face.
