New TV season brings Flintstones, Bewitched and Munsters

Either we are back in the 1960's or all the Networks are trying to repeat the thunderous success of The Charlies Angels reboot.

Its a shame that Fox is going to let Seth Macfarlane crap all over the Flintstones.

I doubt they'll find anyone hotter than Elizabeth Montgomery to twitch her nose.

I don't think Macfarlane will crap all over it. i think he will actually treat it with a mixture of love and irreverance. the gags on family guy are there because it was the stuff he grew up on and loved

Anyone notice their going to try and retell the story of Frankenstein on television...AGAIN? Oh Lord... At least the Universal license is alive and well . I'll take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

                Hmmmm....

I feel the same about these I feel towards ANY remakes: meh. I want NEW and DIFFERENT, not the same old same old. By doing a remake they already show fear and reluctance, so I don't expect anything special.

I think it's funny they are going to remake the Munsters AGAIN

How many times must it fail until they realize it's not a very good property ?

Even the original only lasted 2 seasons for crying out loud

I dont know what to think of Networks trying to revive old properties? The only thing is that they have finally noticed reality shows are crap that have been killing the Industry for at least a decade now.people are clammering to retro programing thats why they have been invented ,RTV,METV,ANTENNATV ,THISTV for free among others on Cable tv popping out the last 2 or 3 years!

And then there's the movies being turned into TV series. ugh. The show with Charlie Sheen has a chance. People will tune in just because he's on it.

Honestly i think i would rather they just put the classics on the networks.
The Charlies Angels reboot is suprisingly good but i dont a remake of the Munsters and Flintstones will be even remotely good.
I guess it could be worse: More reality show
(makes me wish winter wipeout was on every day of the week)

                            >How many times must it fail until they realize it's not a very good property ?

Many. It's all about the name, and a recognizable one.... no matter how out of date, forgotten or just bad.... is better than something new.

                            >they have finally noticed reality shows are crap that have been killing the Industry for at least a decade

Well.... it's more like the public is losing interest, the ratings are dipping and they have to do SOMETHING. It's all cyclical. So I'm not jumping for joy yet 'cos the odds are real good when we do get actual produced shows they'll be the same crappy family sitcoms, bland cop shows and cheesy nighttime dramas we've been suffering through forever.

Amen to that, brother! She was the hottest witch on TV! I happened to catch the old eppy of THE TWILIGHT ZONE called "TWO" which features a young, brunette-haired Elizabeth Montgomery (and Chuck Bronson) and, even though she was made up to look all gaunt and dirty, you could still tell she was a beautiful girl!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
