We stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort, where the rooms are all separated into buildings that represents the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. (We stayed in the 50's) They have huge bowling pins, yo-yos, juke boxes, etc. decorating the property. It's actually pretty cool.

We own a timeshare at westgate which is a mile from Disney's gate. We bought it before we had our Lizzybear and we go every year since 1991. I feel like a kid again there. Glad you had fun Joe.

Announcer: Joe DeRouen you just got back from Disneyworld, what are you going to do now?

Joe DeRouen: I'm going to win the Superbowl!!!!

Welcome back Joe. Sounds like you had a great time. I have been to Disneyland and Disneyworld. They are both great but I have to say I prefer the one in Florida.

Awesome Joe! WDW is my second obsession behind toys, I love it! So I am jealous and happy for you at the same time. Sounds like you guys had great time... and I have to say it sounds way better than Kansas City and 8 degrees (WC -4) right now...

Glad to see somebody else takes MEGOS to the parks

Cool pics Joe. We were planning on going to DW in fall 07, but then baby #2 was put on the schedule. So it will be a few years, but we'll do it! I've never been, but my wife has. We're really looking forward to it.

Dave, we actually drove to your neck of the woods (KC) to fly out. Were we to fly out of our airport, we would have had to take two planes and pay $200 more per ticket and leave at 6 am! So instead we drove to Kansas City on Christmas day, spent the night in a hotel, and left the next morning out of the KC airport. (By the way, it's 12 degrees here in Northwest Arkansas right now! Brrr...)

Chris, I'm sure you will do it! This was Fletcher and my first time, and it had been 25 years since my wife went, and was definitely worth the time and money involved to get us there! My wife's mother (from Amarillo) and her sister (the girl in the pic w/ The Thing) and her sister's husband (from San Francisco) met us there, which was great.

I'm always impressed with how well run and organized the Disney parks are. I love the fact the lines are broken down into segments- you wait, a break with some sort of short video, back in a line, etc.

But then again, I might be a bit biased since I work for Disney!

It's definitely not a bias. Disney has got their stuff together. It's the most efficient, well oiled machine in the world. I was hooked the first time I went 4 years ago. We've been back every year. And, with being in their vacation club, we'll likely go every year for the next 46 years.

We only go at Christmas time, though. I love the decorations and the spirit. I couldn't imagine waiting in those long lines during the Summer.

it's true,it's crazy during the summer.I still go though..I'm a preferred annual pass holder for both Disney and Universal theme parks there's just something about Magic Kingdom that I can't explain,I turn into like a 10 year old as soon as I walk thru the gate and see that castle on the back

Sweet! Glad KC made it affordable I always forget you are not that far from here in northwestern Ark. Sounds like you guys had a great family gathering as well, that makes it all the better... Nothing better too for me than to go with folks who haven't been or haven't been in a long time...

Dang you this thread has me jonesin for WDW like a junkie now
